Willie Nelson Puts Metal Building to Good Use
Willie Nelson is taking his environmental efforts to the metal building industry.
The singer has announced his latest fuel center - that brings cleaner burning fuel to the public – will be a retail station in Carls Corner, Texas.
The prefabricated metal building shall be 134′ x 98′ with a rustic wood facade. It will specialize in biodiesel, a diesel fuel substitute made from soybean oil and other natural fats and vegetable oils, works in any diesel vehicle. It can be used in pure form or blended with petroleum diesel. (The most common blend is B20, a mixture of 20 percent biodiesel and 80 percent diesel.)
Biodiesel fuel can reduce dependency upon foreign oil. This can help struggling Texas farmers find new uses for their crops. According to the Department of Energy, Biodiesel has become America’s fastest growing alternative fuel.
Bruce Brown, president of the steel building company teaming up with Nelson, said:
“I’m very happy to have Mr. Nelson join our family of customers and hope to be of help in the future for any building needs and also be a small part of this important trend in energy conservation.”
