Manufacturer Signs Steel Building Frame Licensing Pact
A leading provider of green structural steel building technology, using light steel framing, has announced a technology license and service agreement with a global steel building manufacturer.
Under the terms of the agreement, Manazil Steel Framing will establish a light steel building frame manufacturing plant in Abu Dhabi using the Genesis Worldwide solution, a turn-key process which includes leading edge software and engineering services.
The steel building plant is scheduled to be operational by early 2008 and will address the market opportunities created by the construction boom in the UAE, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Given Abu Dhabi's location, this agreement will help Genesis emerge as a player in the metal building industry in the UAE market.
The steel building manufacturer sees this as a breakthrough, as Manazil will be able to serve a large portion of the Gulf from its new plant.
"Genesis allows for custom design and manufacture of metal buildings six stories or less. Inherent flexibility will allow Manazil to offer builders in the UAE solutions that meet architectural requirements in a more efficient fashion," said V.P. Maged Mostafa.
Manazil was attracted to Genesis as a clear alternative to traditional methods and materials and offers an energy efficient, fire resistant, cost-effective and fast steel building solution.
Company officials selected the Genesis Solution after carefully assessing other types of metal building materials and systems.
Ali Muhsin, Project Manager of Manazil stated: "We believe that working together with Genesis will be the best solution to achieve our goals and offer a new, smart, fully integrated turn-key approach and simplified construction solutions for the Middle East."
With the introduction of Genesis into the Gulf region, Manazil expects to revolutionize the metal building industry and bring substantial benefits to the market, including a reduction of costs and construction time.
It will also increase the lifespan and overall quality of steel buildings compared with traditional types of construction.
